Breathe in

Evidence: Self-regulation spaces reduce anxiety and improve emotional regulation in children with ASD and ADHD (Shanker, 2012). Guided breathing (4-4-4 pattern) activates the parasympathetic nervous system and reduces cortisol (Ma et al., 2017). Visual stimulation with slow, predictable patterns supports sensory regulation (Siegel & Bryson, 2012).
