Evidence: Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) supports the functional communication of people with complex communication needs (Beukelman & Light, 2020; Light & McNaughton, 2014). This particular tool (pictograms with browser voice input) has not been evaluated, and speech recognition can fail with children’s voices or accents.
