Evidence: This list is a guidance summary of common milestones (like those published by the CDC and the AAP in “Learn the Signs. Act Early”). It does not reproduce or equal Denver II (Frankenburg et al., 1992) or ASQ-3 (Squires & Bricker, 2009), which are licensed screening instruments used by professionals. Early intervention has support for improving outcomes for children with difficulties (Shonkoff & Phillips, 2000; Guralnick, 2011). Pace varies a lot from child to child: this tool does not replace professional developmental screening.

Level of evidence: C (widespread practice, without solid evidence). Basis: Common developmental milestones, in line with those of bodies such as the CDC. It is not Denver II or ASQ-3. Limits: It is not a validated screen. Each child has their own pace: everything “on track” rules nothing out and a “not yet” is not a diagnosis.
This tool is for guidance and educational purposes. It does not replace assessment by a qualified professional.
