Evidence: Exam accommodations aim to remove barriers without changing what the exam measures. The research is mixed: in one study of 97 eighth-graders, extra time in a maths test did not help students with disabilities more than the rest (Elliott & Marquart, 2004), so the time percentages here are indicative and best agreed with the school team. LOMLOE (2020) and regional rules recognise the right to accommodations.

Level of evidence: B (partial support). Basis: Right to support and accommodations in the LOMLOE (arts. 71 to 79) and in the Basque Decree 78/2024. Limits: The legal basis is solid; evidence that each accommodation improves results is mixed, and the time percentages are indicative: they depend on your region’s rules.
